Tuning Your DF65 or DF95
One of the great things about DragonForce 65 and DragonFlite 95 yachts is that they are highly competitive straight out of the box. However, a well-tuned boat will always be easier to sail, more consistent and ultimately faster around the race course.
The tuning guides below have been developed by experienced DF sailors and cover the key setup adjustments that can significantly improve your boat's performance. Topics include mast rake, sail shape, rig tension, boom angles and general boat balance for a variety of wind conditions.
If you are new to radio sailing, don't feel that you need to understand every adjustment immediately. Start with the recommended settings, spend time sailing the boat, and gradually experiment with the finer tuning options as your confidence grows.
Remember that no guide can replace time on the water. The best results come from combining these proven setup recommendations with advice from fellow club members and regular sailing experience.
Whether you are preparing for your first club race or looking to gain a competitive edge, these tuning guides are an excellent resource and are highly recommended reading for all DF65 and DF95 sailors.
