Welcome
Austin Lakes Radio Sailing. We sail the DF65, DF95 and IOMs
Austin Lakes Radio Sailing Club is a welcoming and active radio-controlled yacht racing club catering for sailors of all experience levels. Our members race DragonForce 65 (DF65), DragonFlite 95 (DF95) and International One Metre (IOM) class yachts in a friendly and competitive environment.
The club is affiliated with Radio Sailing Western Australia (RSWA), the governing body for radio sailing in Western Australia, which is in turn affiliated with the Australian Radio Yachting Association (ARYA), the national authority for the sport.
We race at the picturesque Austin Lakes in South Yunderup, Western Australia, providing an excellent venue for year-round radio sailing.
DF65 and DF95 racing is conducted every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon, with the first race commencing at 1:00pm and official racing concluding at approximately 4:00pm. Many members remain afterwards to enjoy social sailing, discuss racing tactics and catch up with fellow sailors, particularly during the warmer months.
IOM racing is held fortnightly on Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Visitors and prospective members are always welcome. Whether you are an experienced competitor or completely new to radio sailing, our members are happy to provide advice, assistance and an introduction to the sport.
Please refer to our Events Calendar for upcoming sailing dates, class schedules and special events. The club observes a short break over the Christmas and New Year period.
