David Jones won 8 of 11 heats and came second in the remainder, to win the day decisively.
Editors note: Was it the Margaret River event or spooky Halloween that kept the sailors away?
Hi ALRS sailors,
Again we had to set up of the jetty due to low water level in the lake. A very different day on the lake with 10-18 kts forecast N/W to W winds. With the Margaret River weekend event at Bettenay's Winery our numbers turned out to be just 4 sailors. We sailed with A+ riggs with a few nose diving antics downwind and the odd in-irons situations.
It was like match racing with only 4 sailors who all had a great day and enjoyed the small fleet.
The winner on the day was a very consistent David Jones who was hot from the first race and finished winning 8 of the 11 races and in the other 3 races was second. Second was David Ralph closely followed by Phil Plowman.
Well sailed guys!
Nice to see Dave Carroll back at the lake, not sailing but he assures me he is back.
